I’m Leaving...

...on a jet plane. I don’t know when I’ll be back again...

Wait a minute! That’s not right. I DO know when I’ll be back...but it’s not for TEN glorious days!!! Yeah, it’s ok to hate on me right now...it won’t bother me at all if you do – because I’ll be on my HONEYMOON!

That’s right. It’s time for this couple to leave on their honeymoon. Yesterday was my last full work day, and today I’m only here until mid-afternoon. Our flight takes off late afternoon, so I’m leaving early, and can I be honest here? I’ve already checked out mentally. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that there will be NO good work coming out of me at all today...but that’s the way that it works, right? Tell me that others do that too, please!

I’m SO excited to be leaving today. I was sort of bummed the day after our wedding when we just headed home...it was anti-climatic, you know? I had to wait about 10 days before I would be leaving on our honeymoon, and that thought almost made me cry. But then I realized that it actually worked out better this way. I was able to go home and settle back into our routine. There was no last minute packing and forgetting things right before the wedding when “bridal brain” was in full swing. And we got the chance to put our house back in order, sort of, before leaving for a week and a half. Which was REALLY nice!

So here’s where I’ll be tomorrow...
Or maybe enjoying our private hot tub on our balcony... I could be either place...or maybe even here...

Who knows? Since we did have some recovery time between wedding and honeymoon, I think that it will be nice to show up for our honeymoon not all exhausted from the wedding. We won’t be spending the first day (or two) sleeping as I’ve heard so many other brides complain about. We will be out in the sun, enjoying Cabo...I can’t wait!!

So I’ve scheduled some posts to run while I’m out...mainly some eye candy from my two favorite photographers...and I’m crossing my fingers and toes that Christina (our wedding photographer) doesn’t post our sneak peeks while we’re gone! I’ll have limited access to email, my blog and my blackberry...I don’t really know HOW I will make it! I’ll miss you all, and I know that my Google Reader will be overflowing with all of your posts when I return!

See ya!

  1. Have an amazing time...we were in that same spot just over a year ago right before we got engaged :) It was so beautiful...your hotel looks a lot like Cabo Azul where we stayed. Hoping you have great weather and a great time. :)
