Free Stuff...or Discounted Stuff...

I haven't done this in a week or so, but here's what I've got showing in my inbox...shop and save!
OvernightPrints.com - I've got two coupons for these guys. One says if you order $50, you get a free stamp. This promotion ends on Sept. 27th, and you should use coupon code 50STMP when ordering. The other promotion that they have running is a FREE 5x5 photo book or $10 off any purchase. That's amazing! What bride doesn't want a FREE 5x5 custom-made photo book. Let's see...this is a limited time only promotion and it expires Sept. 28th...use coupon code ONPFREE5G8 to take advantage of that deal.

Hancock Fabrics - Hancock's is running a foam and fiber sale, along with all McCall's patterns being $.99! Yea! And if you click here, I believe you'll get a 40% off coupon good for any notion item in the store. Just print it out and take it in with you.

JC Penney - They are still offering FREE shipping on orders over $49. Use code 49LEAVES during checkout to receive this offer. I don't know about you, but I've been seeing some of the cutest dresses there!

Coupons/Contests/Give-Aways...

I did a post like this last week. I think that you enjoyed it, so here’s another one...apparently I’ve either registered at all of these places, or they’re now just sending me information to pass along to the rest of the bridal world. Here are the deals and steals that I was told about this week:

PaperMojo – 15% off of EVERYTHING while their offices are closed for a long week and holiday weekend. The dates of the sale are August 29th-September 7th, and while the store is officially closed, you can just visit their website here for the savings!

The Allan House – ATTENTION all Austin, TX area brides, the famous Allan House is offering this special, and I just almost couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it...50% off booking rates for remaining September, October, and November available dates for 2009. WOW. Go here to get more info on The Allan House. (And if you schedule with them for December, January or February months, they include the use of a 30’x60’ clear, heated tent!)

Alfred Angelo – they are hosting up to $250 off of their Sapphire collection between the dates of August 30th-September 11th. If you’ve been waiting for a sale, this is it! Go here to get the coupon, and also there is a FREE gift with purchase and a chance to win these earrings.

Paper Source - they are hosting an even that MOST brides that I know of (myself included!) aren't going to want to miss. Since I'm down to the wire on my own planning and working really hard to try to tie all of the various elements together in one cohesive mix, this is definitely something that I want to attend! Check out their ad...or go to their website for more info. BTW, the event isn't until September 10th...

sourced from an email that Maid Britnet sent to me!

Hancock Fabrics - For all of you sewers out there (like me!) who are on the prowl for great fabric on the cheap, head on over to Hancocks. They're having a 4-day sale starting Aug 27th and running through the weekend. Also, they've got Butterwick patterns on sale for $.99!!

JCPenney - is offering free shipping on internet orders over $49. Use promo code SHIP2YOU during check out to receive this offer.

OvernightPrints.com - is running a special offer now through Sept. 7th. They are offering a FREE 5x5 photo book!! Yep, it says free, and doesn't mention another purchase being required. Use coupon code ONPFREE5D to take advantage of this special offer. Click here for more information.

Etsy - they are having their BOGO this weekend with featured vendors. If you aren't signed up with Etsy, and therefore do not receive those emails, send me your email address and I'll forward the list of vendors participating this weekend to you.

I think that's all that I've gotten this week...have a GREAT weekend and Happy Shopping!

Give-aways, Contests, and Coupons!

I've been getting some coupons, or notices in my inbox about some upcoming sales or events that you all might be interested in, so I thought that I'd share. Here's what I've got:

Alfred Angelo - I know that I posted something just the other day, but this is different. Apparently they're having a give-away to their Facebook fans. Click here to sign up as a fan on their Facebook page and get entered into the contest.

JC Penney - I got this coupon in my inbox...a word of advice - if you like shopping at JCP, I would highly recommend signing up for the email...I get these coupons at least once a week. Maybe you're a new bride trying to round off your registry? Perfect chance to get some of that stuff at a discount!

Hancock Fabrics - This is a great coupon for crafty sewers at heart, like ME! It's a 40% off a single cut of fabric. Click here to get it.

OvernightPrints.com - I don't know that you would "need" 1,000 somethings printed, but if you do here's a good coupon for you. Hurry - this coupon ends August 23rd, that's THIS Sunday! Simply place your order and use coupon code 1000DL in the coupon spot when checking out. If you don't need 1,000 somethings printed, you might head over to their site and check them out anyway - they almost always have other coupons too.

Plano Bridal Show - This would be great for a Dallas area bride...The Plano Bridal Show is going on September 13th, and if you follow this link, there is more information about how the bride can get in FREE.

OK, I think that's it. I'll keep you posted with anything else that I might get. Happy Shopping!

Honest Scrap Award

Chelsea from The Perfect Catch passed along the Honest Scrap Award to me so here goes! Thanks!

The rules are:
1. List 10 honest things about yourself that your blogging friends do not know about you.
2. Give the award away to 7 bloggers.
3. Let them know they've received the award.

Enjoy!

1. I love my naturally curly hair, but don’t normally take the time to dry it. Most of the time, I hop out of the shower and pull it into a low ponytail/bun thing and go – SO lazy!

2. I am left-handed. But only for brushing my teeth and writing. Everything else I do with my right hand – like use my mouse, cut with scissors, bat…

3. I drive a 2-door Honda Accord that I love, but it’s on its last leg and I don’t know WHAT I’ll get next. I like the Nissan Murano the best, but I’m not sure that it’s big enough for our soon-to-be family.

4. I cry VERY easily. Even at those infamous Kleenex commercials. I cry when I’m happy, and I cry when I’m sad. And I HATE the ugly cry face…crossing fingers and toes that I don’t have ugly cry face on my wedding day. But I’m trying to come to terms with the fact of life that I probably will…

5. I believe in angels/demons and ghosts. I believe in God and the Devil. And I do think that a battle exists between Good and Evil.

6. My child fears me…just a little bit. And I’m really ok with that. (There’s still a kid inside of me that is still scared of my Mom too!) It’s part of being a parent. Most of the time we have fun, but there’s a tone and a look that I have that can stop most things that she’s doing in an instant. B responds well to it also…

7. I love Vanilla Coke…from Sonic – it’s the best and my biggest weakness on my “getting ready to wed” body.

8. I laugh HARD at least once a day. What’s the point of life if there is no joy or laughter? None for me. So I make sure to either laugh at myself, or with someone else, once a day…which sometimes makes me cry since I get SO tickled…see #4 above.

9. I respect myself and my own opinions. Having been in a relationship where I was told what to think, what to say, what to feel, and what to wear…I have vowed to never go back to that again. I want to teach my child that it’s ok to be different, as long as you like who you are and what you do, and you’re not causing harm to anyone (including yourself). I want her to be strong and independent and willing/able to stand on her own. That’s how my Mom raised me and there’s not a thing wrong with it.

10. I want the storybook ending…I never really thought that I would have it at the end of my last marriage…didn’t even believe that it existed, to be truthful…but God proved me wrong and brought B into my life. I am blessed to have my sweet little girl (who is getting bigger everyday) and a man in my life who loves me for me. I could not ask for more…but secretly hope for the baby one day too! I want to grow old with this man, I want to hold his hand through thick and thin, and I want to sit on our front porch in rocking chairs one day with our hair grey and our hands all wrinkly, but still holding on to one another…

So that’s it for me! Now, to whom should I pass this award on to? I honestly don’t know that I know seven bloggers…I’ll do some research and see what I can come up with.

Thanks Chelsea for including me in this fun game!
